TEENS LEARN TO LIFT

← Back to timetable

WE’RE NOT TALKING ARNIE STYLE! WE LIFT TO BE STRONG AND FUNCTIONAL.

At Redemption, our learn to lift sessions are a fun way to tone up, build muscle and because we’re all about making everyone feel comfortable, throwing weights and having a bad attitude isn’t welcome. It’s all about having fun and building up experience at a pace that suits you. We lift what we can control.

In a typical session, we will focus on building your knowledge in the squat, bench and deadlift. Then we will work on some assistance exercises by spreading weights around and do around 8-12 reps x 3-4 sets then move to the next exercise. Sessions are varied each time to focus on a specific part of the body (eg. chest, back or lower body).

Weight training is great if you like to feel the burn and have that pumped feeling in the muscles the next day!

No meatheads are allowed, RESPECT the gym and your team mates otherwise I will make you run laps.

RULES FOR THE GYM

WE DO

THINGS

DIFFERENTLY

HERE

#1 TRUST YOURSELF

Attempt everything in the gym without judging yourself. Focus on the things you’re good at and work hard on the things you aren’t great at.

#2 TRUST THE PROCESS

The coaches will push you, and you need to trust them. Let go and have faith in the results happening in time.

#3 DON’T BE AFRAID TO FAIL

Resilience is the key to success. If you can figure out how to stay on track and back into the game after a failure then you’ll get the results you want.

#4 DON’T LISTEN TO TOXIC PEOPLE

Don’t listen to negative people who put you down or look for faults and flaws. Find people who hype you up and create a good vibe.

#5 BE DISCIPLINED

Discipline and motivation are not the same thing. Show up to your training even if you don’t want to. The real battle is the one you have with yourself.
