Our most requested training topic… Lower Back Strengthening!
For over 10 years, The founders of Redemption have been developing programmes that improve lower back strength, enhance daily movement, and build stronger bodies. We’re now sharing our expertise and answering all of your questions in our 8-week workshop.
Throughout this workshop, Ethan, our Injury Prevention Performance Coach, will guide you on the theory of lower back strengthening and its role in overall performance.
You can expert to learn:
- Spinal anatomy, biomechanics and loading theory
- How it relates to a gym based or at home workout programme
- Movement patterns that correct common inefficiencies and strengthen the lower back effectively
Curriculum
Presented by Ethan Turner, Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Performance Coach.
Presentation with Q&A followed by practical session.
In summary:
Week 1: October 31st
Introduce lumbopelvic rhythm exercises and pelvic control.
Week 2: October 7th
Introduce resistance to hip hinge pattern.
Week 3: November 14th
Increase and progress lower back capacity with functional flexion movements.
Week 4: November 21st
Introduce functional extension movements and balance.
Week 5: November 28th
Increasing intensity with further functional movements to test the lower back and core capabilities.
Week 6: December 5th
Introducing a deadlift variation to train the adductors and save the lower back.
Week 7: December 12th
Progressing single leg work and balance.
Week 8: December 19th
Understanding the spine needs low loaded spinal flexion for full spine health.
Our workshop is delivered in-person, every Thursday 6:00pm – 7:30pm at our training facility in Strandon.
